Mall ManagementRiver Hills Mall is looking for a full-time Housekeeping Manager. This is a hands on position and will be expected to be on the floor for part of each shift.
Key responsibilities include:
· Attending staff meetings.
· Interviews, hires and trains housekeeping and floor care staff on all shifts.
· Supervises and evaluates the quality of work completed by employees.
· Trains workers in floor care procedures and proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
· Coach and mentor janitorial team members, provide team feedback and guidance for improvement.
· Forecasts and plans the purchase of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
· Conducts quality assurance rounds and inspections to ensure mall cleanliness.
· Communicate problems and initiate work orders for maintenance workers.
· Communicating with members of other departments to coordinate housekeeping activities.
· Other job duties as assigned by the management.
· Maintains an environment that is sanitary, attractive and in orderly condition.
· Ensure that all supply areas are clean and stocked.
· A willingness to work hands-on and where needed, alongside the staff.
· Customer service – assist mall customers in a friendly and engaging manner.
· Strong attention to detail and reliability on completing tasks.
· Ability to be on call for your staff.
· Must be flexible and able to adapt to various shifts as needed, including holidays, weekends and evenings.
